Life Among Ruins

He who called you is faithful, and he will surely do it. - 1 Thess 5:24

A Christian in today's world may find they feel like a thirsty sapling in the middle of a faux plant garden. Perhaps some are like a car driving across a windy bridge, resisting the relentless push towards the ledge. Whether it's the cultural norms around us, the fainting fight within us, or the dark forces raging against us, Christianity is no undisturbed journey of faith. Jesus says in Matthew 7:14 "For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few."

My name is Brandon Moate. I am a testimony of a lifeless person who was revived by the only holy, true, and good God. I am a minster of the Gospel who has witnessed the movement of the Spirit through his Church around the globe...and He is still working.

May this page serve as a source of encouragement to the weary, treasure for the destitute, and life for us among the ruins.

Our Mission

To perpetually mature in our love, understanding, and devotion for God.

To reflect the transforming power of Christ to the community around us.

To be generous with our time, effort, and resources.

To edify the Church with biblical teaching, encouragement, and creativity.

To expand the Kingdom of God and pursue the joys of heaven now and forever.

About Me

I am an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God. Born into a biracial family - half American and half Mexican. I spent seven years overseas as a missionary, living in Latin America, Europe, and Asia. I have a B.A. in Intercultural Studies and and M.A. in Organizational Leadership. I am currently working on another M.A. from Jerusalem University College.

I have been blessed with the most joyful, loud, and beautiful family. I met my wife, Dina, in her home country of Greece. She is hilarious, so cunning (crafty at times), and a wonderfully free spirit that continually reminds me to "enjoy the ride". She's also a momma to our baby girl. Esther is charming like her mom, mischievous like her dad, stubborn and fixated like them both.

I am from Black Diamond, Washington and Dina is from Aiginio, Greece. Yet, having come from diverse backgrounds, and having moved a plethora of times, neither of us feels like "home" is identifiable with a precise location. Whether it's the missionary heart God has given us or the gift of faith to perceive this world as temporary, we acknowledge that our identity now and our legacy later, is far removed from our birth rights and adopted labels. We are certain that our family tree is ancient, our citizenship is to a kingdom forming, and our home is Jesus.
